About The Event
He (or she) who can recover the Mud Truck from its muddy prison, will get to take it home. Free and clear! But that's not all, trails are open for riding, we will have vendors selling cool stuff, food trucks, our famous sandy beach to relax on and all the fresh air to fill your lungs!
Free Camping, Fishing, Kids 12 and Under free!
Camping spots are first come first served, spots are available for campers (no available hookups for electric or water)

Mud Truck Recovery Rules – Saturday
General Format & Timing
- Competition runs from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM (5-hour total window).
- Up to 10 teams will compete.
- Starting order is randomly drawn.
- Teams may sell or trade their starting position.
- Each team’s recovery attempt lasts a maximum of 25 minutes.
Team & Personnel Limits
- Maximum 4 people/vehicles per team.
Allowed Recovery Equipment & Methods
- Only rope or winch cable may be used for pulling ( no chains allowed).
- Snatch blocks and pulleys are permitted.
- Multiple vehicles may be used to assist with pulling.
- Pulling must be done only from the designated / specific hook points on the mud truck.
Prohibited Actions & Equipment
- No heavy equipment of any kind or vehicles rated over 1 ton.
- The stuck mud truck itself cannot be used to assist in its own recovery (no self-winch, no throttle-assisted movement for recovery purposes, etc.).
Important Safety & Conduct Rules
- Any abuse or damage to the mud truck will immediately end that team’s recovery attempt.
- If a recovery vehicle becomes stuck during the competition it must remain stuck until after 3:00 PM or until the mud truck is successfully recovered (whichever comes first).
- Judges ruling is final.
These rules prioritize safety, fairness, and protecting the mud truck while still allowing creative use of ropes, winches, and teamwork.
